RIFFS
βA riff for me is always a melodic line and creating them is a form of composition.β
~ Robben Ford
RIFFS - WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
-
INSPIRATION: 92 RIFFS and counting
Here, youβll discover a new Riff every week straight from my musical mind to your fingers. Most were created specifically for the Dojo and are not just things that Iβve played for years. They are meant to inspire!
-
Vocabulary
All Riffs come from scales and all chords come from scales. Both chords and scales can be used as tools of melodic invention, which is something I concentrate on in the Riffs course.
You'll see how my mind works when using the tools at my disposal, which you will come to have as well.
-
A Guide to developing
With the examples presented here and learning the vocabulary from which they come, youβll have the tools to start creating your own riffs. And, potentially, your own style.
That was always my goal and Iβm sure itβs yours. Everything you need to learn to get there is here!
